I live in the "Waterfall Capital of the World." I'm not sure who named it that...maybe the Hamilton tourism board, but whether a misnomer or not, there are over a hundred different waterfalls here in Hamilton. Most people have certain disparaging opinions about Hamilton, but there is a ton of natural beauty that I explore regularly. I've made it a personal mission to see all of the waterfalls here, and want to document it here so that others are encouraged to see them as well!

  1. Hi, I hope you get this message, as I've noticed that you haven't posted since January this year;

    My fiance and I are going to elope and my ideal location would be among some beautiful waterfalls. I thought, maybe you would have some suggestions?

    I'd prefer, a pretty full water fall that has a cave'ish space in behind the water in which we could 'hide away' while saying our vows. Even more idea, would be if the falls fell in to a clean pond that would be nice to swim in afterwards.

    Any ideas? Please email me if you have some suggestions: clarkana@gmail.com

    Thanks a bunch!

  2. I took the family this long weekend to explore one of the falls you have listed here. We ended up at Webster's and were stunned by the beauty of the area, the scenery and fullness of the rushing water at this time of the year. Thanks for the photos and info you posted.

  3. Hi there!
    Some months ago I decided to go and see all the waterfalls in Hamilton as well! It was a nice surprise finding your blog today while preparing today's waterfall hunt. I will definitely come back when I don't find a cascade (some are really tricky to find). And maybe we could even go together on a hike :)
